Week 5 Year 2
Week 5 is here! Almost at Half Term now! Again, a big thank you for all your support and hard work this week. We have enjoyed seeing your work and the other activities you have been doing.
It has been lovely to chat to some of you via Teams and we will continue with this, so keep yourselves updated on Dojo for the time slots.
Please remember that at school we are following the plans that we put under each subject heading on here. If your child only comes to school on certain days, it would be really helpful if you could stick to these, so that they don't duplicate work and keep up with the learning progression.
This week is Children's Mental Health Week and this year the theme is Express Yourself. We will be posting activities that we will be completing with the children in school via ClassDojo. There are lots of resources on the Children's Mental Health Week website that you can use at home and an online assembly which will be available from Monday 1st Feb - we will send you a link!

Phonics and Reading
Please read Phonics Week 5 to guide you through this week's Letters and Sounds activities.
This week's sounds are split digraphs: a-e, e-e, i-e and final consonant blends.
For Reading, it would be great to see some more videos of you reading a page or two of your reading books. If you are running out of reading material, Oak Academy have just opened a whole library of online books that you can access.
Also we have just signed up to GetEpic. Details for class log-ins are on Class Dojo.
At the bottom, there is a Handwriting pack, if you feel your child needs extra practise with this.
