Raptors to Raptors
Joshua Hill (j.hill) on: My bird watching Blog
A raptor is a different name for a bird of prey the British birds of prey include of loads of sub species like owls and one of the most common, falcons.
This week I will be writing about the different birds of prey England has to offer and here is a little taster of what's coming up in the week:
Kestrel
The Kestrel is probably known for its hunting methods of its continues hovering that it does to catch its mammal prey. It has became more regular that you see this alpine hunter feeding in its natural habitat because of recent, successful conservation efforts.

Berwick's swan
Joshua Hill (j.hill) on: My bird watching Blog
As you may have read the Berwick's swan is the smallest of the swans but still size doesn't matter as still being small it has a great story to tell.
Habitat
This bird usually can be found in large lakes with sum form of vegetation or shrub a great example of this is at Slimbridge wwt that has both a large portion of water and wild growing Shrub.
Food
Feeds on vegetation, fish and small invertebrates that lye on the bottom of the silt that has settled on the bottom of the water.
Chicks
The chicks or goose lings of the Berwick's swan are how can I say CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cute!!!!
Fun Fact:Peter Scott was the man who started a project called the Berwick project this was a projected of finding individual factors of different swans from each other.

Swans
This week I'm writing about the elegant Swans. These large birds fly for miles to get to this small island that we call Britain some of witch risks their own lives to get here.
Here's a bit of a taster of what's coming up:
Berwick's swans
The smallest of the swans this little bird flies all the way from it's nesting country Russia. It only stays in England for the period of winter before heading back to the cold of Russia.
Mute Swans
The most communists of the Swans the Mute Swan is one of the most different of the swans because of its strange lump on its beak.

What a racket !
Grace Carvell (g.carvell) on: Life inside the tank
There's a very strange noise around the Tank.
Its a whaling sound followed by a plink, plink sound.
I can see something, perhaps I will swim round for a better view.
Oh its only Luke playing his Ukele.
I wish I had some ear plugs !
Thinking about it, I wish I had some ears to put them in as well !

Bright lights...
Grace Carvell (g.carvell) on: Life inside the tank
Dad has been working this afternoon in Graces bedroom, fiddling with the ceiling lights.
He has just tested them won't be able to sleep with them on.
They're way to bright there like a spaceships hovering over the tank.
