Big news!!!
Lola-Mae Pye (l.pye) on: All about us
Today we are going to be writing about... animals! However, we have named this post 'big news' for a reason.
Last week our theme was music. We spoke a bit about our violin exam (grade three) and receiving our results. Now, we have news that... we all passed! We are very happy.
Anyway, this is what Kitty has to say about animals:
My favourite animal is a hamster. Which is good because I am getting another hamster!! My first hamster was named Scooby but she sadly passed away due to cancer. However, I still have two loving dogs and 5 chickens to keep me company.
My first ever pet was my golden retriever Bow. He was a rescue and he was their since I was a baby and I loved him very much. He then died so we got one of my present dogs: Betty. We wanted Betty to have some company so we brought Peggy.

By the way this is not my hamster. Now it's Lola`s turn:I haven't had much experience with pets; when I was younger, I was terrified of dogs so their was no way we could buy one. When I was about seven, my Grandparents bought some chickens. My sister and I were given one each (mine was Fifi and the other was called Fidget). They started to fight and were eventually taken away to a new home. I was too young to properly understand and didn't realise for a long time.About three years later, my friend Connie rescued a cat and took it back to her home. Unfortunately, her cat didnt like having a new playmate. At all.My family decided to take in the kitten, and we named it Minnie. A few months later, my Dad took Minnie to the vets. When I arrived home from school, I found out that Minnie was actually a boy; Mannie.Mannie never learnt any road sense, and was often running in front of cars. One day he came to the front door to be let in; his leg was shattered and hanging off.

Our first post
Lola-Mae Pye (l.pye) on: All about us
Hello this is Lola and Kitty. As this is our first post, we will talk about music and some of the things we have achieved so far (we will be switching themes each week).
A couple of weeks ago we took our grade three violin exam. Although we were familiar with the proceedings, before we went in, we were both extremely nervous. The exam went quite well for both of us;we should be receiving our results very soon ( maybe even this week!).
That's it for our first post but we'll be back soon!
Random fact of the week: Dogs sweat through their tongue!

Jacqueline Wilson's new stroy
Loren Roberts (l.roberts) on: Lily and Loren's Blog
You may of seen on the television or the news that Jacqueline Wilson is releasing a new book that was found written in Queen Victoria's diary when she was just 12 years old it is called What
Katy Did.
This is the book!
Katy Carr is a lively, daredevil oldest sister in a big family. She loves messing around outdoors, climbing on the garage roof, or up a tree, cycling, skateboarding, swinging . . . But her life changes in dramatic and unexpected ways after a serious accident. Inspired by the classic novel, What Katy Did, Jacqueline Wilson creates an irresistible modern version for the twenty-first-century. Fans of Hetty Feather and Tracy Beaker will fall in love with Katy and her family too.
COMING AT THE END OF JULY!

Loren's New Book (Update)
Loren Roberts (l.roberts) on: Lily and Loren's Blog
So far I really enjoy my brand new Jacqueline Wilson book Happy Holidays. It is just like the Jacqueline Wilson Christmas Cracker which contains activities and puzzle but also short stories that have never been released by Jacqueline Wilson before. Jacky mixes up her characters in the short stories so there are lots of different personalities and features in the short stories I am now on the 3rd short story in Happy Holidays.
This is Happy Holidays. The actual book has an extremely shiny front cover!

Lily: Candyfloss
I like Candyfloss because it is an exciting book. I recommend it for 9+ because the writing is very small and sometimes it’s hard to understand. My favourite character is flora also known as (Candyfloss) or (Flossie).
Loren: The Diamond Girls
The Diamond girls is a book about a family but the parents have spilt up and the girls live with their mother. There is Rochelle, Jade, Pixie and the oldest sister. But they move house but it is not a nice area so the mother isn’t happy there but she can’t afford to move again. Then the mother has a baby and she tells her daughters that it is a boy but it is actually a girl.
Lily: The Lottie Project
I recommend it for 8+. In the story they are learning about Victorians in school and have to do a project. Lottie writes about a diary as her Victorians project.
Loren: Cookie
